What Is BetTrader?
BetTrader is a software application that links directly from your computer to Betfair's servers, displaying live Betfair markets on your screen. Using Bettrader is an alternative method of placing bets on Betfair other than through the Betfair website.
There are many advantages to accessing Betfair through BetTrader, as opposed to accessing Betfair through your internet browser. These include viewing live updating prices and being able to submit bets faster and with fewer mouse clicks.
BetTrader's Free Grid Interface is similar in appearance to Betfair's website interface but with live prices, an extensive range of trading tools and features, and a much more streamlined bet submission process than the betfair website.
BetTrader's Ladder Interface displays Betfair prices on a vertical ladder, also with live prices and trading tools but with an even more efficient one click bet submission process.
BetTrader accesses Betfair through their Application Programming Interface, API. This allows BetTrader direct access to Betfair's servers from your computer with no intermediate server being involved.
Betfair encourage regular users who want lots of price updates to access their markets through the API because it reduces the strain on their website, which is one of the most refreshed websites on the internet.
