This month’s issue of The Scalper features 7 new trading videos with detailed written descriptions of exactly what I’m doing in each video. Video 1: 15th March 14 min 10 sec + £25

0:36 I submit Lay 400 @ 3.10 when the price gaps up to 3.15/3.20. My Lay order is the first to be submitted at 3.10 and I get matched straight away when the price stabilizes at 3.10/3.15. My position is displayed above the other 2 ladders as Layed 400. I immediately submit Back 400 @ 3.15 while the price is still 3.10/3.15, which also gets very close to the front of the 3.15 queue behind another 282. My Back 400 @ 3.15 remains as an unmatched bet until 0:47 when it is matched in full when the price moves up to 3.15/3.20. My 20 profit if this horse wins is shown above this ladder.
Video 2: 15th March 13 min 30 sec + £19

0:03 I submit Back 500 @ 2.92 while the price is 2.90/2.92. It remains as an unmatched bet for 5 seconds before being matched and my position displays above the other 2 ladders as Backed 500.
0:08 As soon as my Back 500 @ 2.92 is matched I decide that I don’t want it and submit Lay 500 @ 2.92 to try and Scratch while the price is 2.92/2.94.

0:06 My unmatched Back 200 @ 5.2 which I submitted earlier is matched. The amounts above the other 2 ladders show that I have Backed 200. There is still over 10K waiting to Back at 5.2 so I decide to hold the position for a larger than normal profit, with the idea that if the money on 5.2 starts to trade out I will Scratch my position by submitting Lay 200 @ 5.2.
0:40 I submit Lay 200 @ 4.9 while the price is 5.1/5.2, which remains as an unmatched bet.

0:06 I submit Lay 600 @ 2.42 while the price is 2.40/2.42 and I get matched instantly. The price moves up to 2.42/2.44 and I immediately submit Back 600 @ 2.44 which remains as an unmatched bet.
0:21 My Back 600 @ 2.44 gets matched giving me a 1 tick profit and making my position flat. My profit of 12 if this horse wins is displayed above the ladder.
Video 5: 13th March 15 min 15 sec + £18

0:03 At the very start of the video I try to Back 500 @ 2.86. After a couple of seconds I realize that I’m not going to get matched at 2.86 so I click and drag my 500 order down 1 tick and release the mouse button to submit Back 500 @ 2.84. I get matched straight away and my position above the other 2 ladders shows that I have Backed 500. I immediately submit Lay 500 @ 2.82 in order to take a small profit and make myself Flat. 2.82 starts to trade and my Lay bet is matched. My position above the other 2 ladders shows that I have zero liability on them and my profit of 10 pounds is displayed above this ladder.

1:15 I submit Back 500 @ 2.40 while the price is 2.38/2.40 and after 5 seconds waiting as an unmatched bet I am matched, which you can see by the amounts above the other 2 ladders showing that I have Backed 500 on this horse.

0:18 I submit Back 1000 @ 1.26 when the price is 1.25/1.26 but I don’t get matched and it remains as an unmatched bet.
0:50 My Back 1000 @ 1.26 gets matched which is shown by the amounts over the other 2 ladders showing that I have Backed 1000 on this horse. I immediately submit Lay 1000 @ 1.25 while the price is still 1.25/1.26 but I don’t get matched and it remains as an unmatched bet.
